What Should You Do?
Their lives are water;
swirling, running down the drain.
Saving them’s hopeless.
But someone still tries;
hands are now cups. Broken cups,
which make a huge mess.
For tyranny aims
to destroy opposition.
So, lives are worth less.
’Till one person comes.
Forces unite once again.
Aye, this person’s true.
Split between shoulders,
the world’s weight is not on one.
So, what should you do?
Utopia?
They enter as one, all in fighting stances, gripping kitchen knifes, yoyos and baseball bats. Some only have their own gloved hands balled into fists, the poor dears.
The leader, a small, slim person with a yellow and black Halloween mask steps forwards, holding her red scissors out like throwing stars.
They called out, in a nervous soprano voice, “Beta, we ask that you allow freedom of speech and thought back into the system, and bring back humane punishments that actaully work.”
A small chuckle escaped my lips at this, as I peer over my large table, dotted with dishes of food. These people are rather ridiculous; my ways bring peace and prosperity. Nothing they say will make me change my protocals.
“Welcome, Verity. Or shall I call you Maria Löwenstolz?” I call out warmly, thankful that my viel hides my smirk. “Come, bring your people to sit at my table. I have been expecting you.”
Fear and shock fill all their faces as they find I know their leader's identity, though there is no reason for them to be afraid. Maria has done a splendid job of turning my people into hers.
“Never!” bellows a younger girl, whose dark ponytail has slipped out from under her dark green hood. “We’re not gonna surrender to a creature like you!”
Once again, a small, melodious laugh echoed from my cracked, dry lips as I repeat, “Creature, creature? Your notions are incorrect, though I must compliment your valor. There is good reasong for it to be your code name, Adeline Brookslander.”
A clearly visable scowl is taking Adeline’s smooth brown face, and she moves her bat slightly, preparing to swing. Nothing is around her other than the bright crystal figures and dancing, rainbow light reflecting from them, making her efforts futile.
As the group of people tighten and prepare for attack, I look towards one, a young man who they call Just. His real name is Luan Kit, and both names serve the kind boy well.
“Luan Kit,” I whisper, beckoning the boy close with my pale hand, hidden by a white silk glove. "My dear boy, if I may ask, what is your reason to rebel? Why do you find the utopia I have created unjust aven after it saved your sister's sight?"
Luan flinches, and noticing it is easy, even with the black cat mask obscuring most of his face. Such a poor, misguided child, just like the rest of them.
"We'd have found a way to get Lucy vision without your gadget's, Beta!" retorted Luan. "Your ways are unjust. The Center for Reformation shatters sanity, Beta! You allow, encourage and partipate in draining the land of resources four frivilous things! Not to mention, your punishments are either pointless or so horrible that it drives people insane!"
Many others in the rebellious movement nod and fidget with their weapons, as if they would like to hit me. How heartbreaking! Though, I must not let my feelings stop progress. Progress comes first, before everything- after all, it helps everything.
Finally, I take a deep breath, gesture to the table in front of me, groaning under the weight of food and drinks, and say, "Sit, please. I will listen to your suggestions if you sit, and I will not punish you."
"I rather stare at the pure white of The Center of Reformation than sit at your table!" schreeches Adeline. "I think everyone here agrees!"
A young man steps forward to voice his agreement and, to my shock, a cut traces his cheek. It is recent, too; his blue fabric mask is mutilated and drenched in blood, hanging limly onto his ears to reveal startling blue eyes.
"Liberty, George Grey, how did you get that cut on your face," I ask in concern as I lean forwards slightly.
"Your law enforcement gave it to me!" called out George in fury. "You know they did, you know! Everything they do is under your orders, Beta!"
My mouth goes dry, and I nervously wring my hands. This information is new to me. Which of my marvelous gaurds could be so cruel?
Without hesitation, I demand, "Which gaurd, George? Whoever gave you such a deep wound ought to be punished."
Immediatly after the words left my mouth, George's fingers clasp tighter around his knife, and he nashes his teeth together. Anger- no, rage- radiates off him, and, next thing I know, his knife is flying towards me.
I fall backwards, and tears fill my eyes. I call for help, but only the rebels could hear. It was a foolish mistake to not post guards or medics nearby. After all, I had known these people were coming.
"Help," I beg, my eyes finding Luan in the crowd. "Help me, please. I understand you hate me, but please don't let me die!"
Luan breaks ranks and runs towards me, bending down.
"Beta? Beta?" he whisperes, looking at where George's knife pierced my skin. "Oh gosh, Beta, I'm sorry! You were trying, trying to be good, I think, and now- now- I'm sorry, Beta."
He pulls the knife out of my stomache before I can explain how it will increase the speed of my approaching death.
I manage to grab my viel from my face, revealing my white hair and wrinkles. Struggling, I manage to place the viel in Luan's hands.
Knowing I have passed on my legacy to someone deserving, someone who already knows what changes to make and what things to keep the same, I realize I have enough time to say something. I must choose my words very carefully.
I croak, "It's alright, child," before turning the aghast and pitying faces of the crowd, meeting the panic-stricken eyes of Geroge. "It's allright, all of you. Enjoy my utopia, and work to mae sure it can be everyone's."
Now, my time is up. Seconds tick away, and my life fades, leaving me to hope it was a good one.
When You’re Feeling Blue (OLD)
I’ll be there when you’re feeling blue
and don’t know what to do.
I’ll be there
because I care!
If you’re feeling mad
and think you’re bad,
I’ll be there
because I have a heart.
When you’re glad
and not sad
I’ll still be there
because I care
and have a heart!
I’ll be there if you feel bad or glad.
I’ll be there forever,
I’ll be there if we’re together,
or apart.
I’ll be there in good times,
I’ll be there in bad times,
I’ll be there if you’re glad, sad, mad or blue.
I’ll be by your side,
yes, I’ll be there,
just for you.
Not just now but for forever
is when I’ll be there for you.
I’ll be there, I’ll be there, I’ll be there!
No matter who you are,
I’ll be there for someone who is a person,
and it is Y-O-U,
you!
Alice’s Real Identity- Repost
The Queen of Hearts
she always thwarts,
Just like this summer’s day;
The Knave of hearts,
he plays his parts,
but is just tactless prey.
The King of Hearts,
for all his smarts,
the signs he does ignore;
when he departs
all of his darts
go to the Knave once more.
The Princess Heart
does not impart
that all these crimes are hers;
With crafty plots
she thinks are arts
who’d think Alice was theirs?
N̷o̷r̷m̷a̷l̷
All said they wanted to fit in,
told it bearing a bright grin.
No one knew they could never win
with normalicy's ice so thin.
All of those who took a fall
found themself against the wall.
So drab and gray was it all,
nothing unique to recall.
Just who could have foresaw
this very fatal flaw?
All who had been in awe
now awaited the thaw.
All were wallflowers
losing their powers.
Turned to be sour
by life's fierce dour.
Courage faded,
fear invaded,
hope deflated,
no one aided!
It's hapless,
so hopeless,
they're helpless...
'till success.
'Twas a new girl
who gave a swirl,
making it twirl
and then unfurl.
She began to scheme
to make them all dream,
end normal's regime,
and share a new theme:
"Do not follow the crowd,
stand uncommon and proud,
shout differences loud,
and spread this message 'round."
Bringing her words to their heart,
many played a specail part
bringing about a new start,
excited to stand apart.
New ideas were then respected,
with opinions still protected.
Not all heard and accepted,
but disagreement's expected.

Surgery (TW: Mentions Needles and Blood)
Her surgerery began in an hour. She was nervous, and a little scared. She was mostly happy, I think. She thought about all the pain she was going to go through. “On Park Seonghwa’s beautiful face if this isn’t worth it in the long run I might actually break something over someone’s head.” She shakes her head and smiles. “Why am I scared at all? The surgery itself isn’t really something I can feel until after.” She wonders aloud. She shrugged, and put on her favorite songs. Her phone was kidnapped three weeks ago by her mother, and she doubted she’d see it again, so she pulled out her trusty school computer.
She decides on a song that always makes her feel good. “Make Up” by Sam Kim. She puts the song on and sighs. “Waiting is the hardest part. I wish I could just go now and get it over with so I can go back to sleep!” She complains aloud, not really sure who she’s complaining to. Whoever is listening in on her through an electronic device? Her sister, asleep in the next room? It didn’t matter to her. She was just realeasing her nervous energy. After three days of wearing a mask and eating alone in her room, she is ready to have the surgery done so she doesn’t have to any more.
Her mom comes back from ordering her coffee, and the girl wishes she could have food before the surgerey. It was going to be a while until she could eat normally. They leave for the hospital, and the girl answers questions like, “Any history of bleeding disorders in your family?” She shakes her head yes and no. They leave and she must change into a hospital gown. After she has changed, her mom calls them in. They must check her veins.
They try to warm the hand and pat her hand over and over. They tell her to keep flexing her hands, to get the blood flowing inside her veins. They come back and find that her veins still are not coming out to play.
There is an issue and they have to get someone else. Her mother says, “Sorry, you’ve got veins like me.” The person in question finds a vein after lots of warming and patting. She slides the needle into the vein gently, and just like that it’s over. The girl stares at the blood inside the part they took off when they stuck her. She never flinches at the sight of blood. They start putting liquid in the vein to make her sleepy.
It doesn’t work right away and she starts thinking about the surgery, and wonders if she can have ice chips after. The nurse comes in and gives her something through the IV to make her relax. Soon enough, yet another docter comes to take her away, wheeling her bed away. She waves to her mom, who doesn’t see it. She is soon distracted by the docter asking her about herself, like where she goes to school and how old she is. She is starting to get drowsy but she answers as much as she can. "Alright dear. I'm going to have you hop onto this bed here and you can just lay down for me, okay?"
She does as she is told, and the sleepiness over takes her. She wakes up in an ice cold room. She shivers violently and opens her eyes for intervals, sometimes closing them again because she was still groggy. "You're awake! Okay, perfect. I brought you some apple juice, like you asked. I have ice chips too if you need them." She doesn't remember asking for apple juice. Maybe she was half asleep. The nurse covers the girl and she stops shivering.
"Thank you. Can I have an ice chip?" The girl raises a hand and vaguely points at the oce chips. The nurse smiles and gives her some. The nurse asks her questions, and she trys to lay on her side to sleep but the nurse says she can't yet. She takes small sips of the apple juice--her mom warned her that she would really regret it if she tried to take a big drink. The nurse finishes her questions, and she is wheeled to a recovery room.
Her mom waits for her in the room, a doctor too. They talk while she struggles to open her eyes. "How long was I out for, Mom?" She says about an hour. The doctor waves goodbye and her mom lets her sleep. The doctor takes out her IV when she comes back, and helps her stand up and walk so they can make sure she's ready to leave. She changes back into her clothes, leaving the hospital clothing in the room. Another nurse is there to walk them to the car. She walks to the car and the nurse waves goodbye.
She takes off her face mask as soon as she gets in the car. Her mother stops at a store to buy her a humidifier for her room so her throat does not get dry. If the scab gets dry and cracks, her throat will bleed. She sleeps in the car until she gets home. Then her dad asks to see her throat, and says it doesn't look like a mouth anymore. All the girl wants is to sleep, and after showing everyone who wanted to see, she falls into her bed. She was asleep before her mom put in the humidifier.
```````````````
And she is awake now! Gotta tell you, tonsillectomies aren't exactly fun, but they are not the worst either. Only eating soft foods is going to suck, but hey. It's better than getting a sore throat every week. My advice to you is lots of ice chips and cool drinks, and start slow on your soft food. It will hurt for a while. But yeah. I woke up from passing out all day and now have to alternate fluids and applesauce for now.
