Blushing Bride,
beautiful as can be.
Bountiful bouts of love,
blessed is the bastard who stole your heart.
Weeping Widow,
her gaze woven with weary.
Weeping Widow,
wrapped in lace, washed with pain.
Blushing Bride,
ballad of bliss.
Blushing Bride,
butterflies bloom in the pits of her belly.
Weeping Widow,
forever wondering why.
Weeping Widow,
wicked is the wrench thrown into your life.

An Elegy for Who I Used to Be
Timid is the manner,
in which you speak.
The world roars too loudly,
how could you ever think?
You shrank yourself to fit a mold,
realizing too late it was never meant for you.
Your star burned,
fast and hot.
The explosion glorious,
faded colors filled the skies.
Destruction is the temple of your life,
you don't know why.
It just is.
Burdened to walk a tightrope,
gravity nips at your toes.
Head in the clouds,
never bound to earth.
The weight of life finally caught up,
resulting in the death of you, of me. of us.
Like a phoenix, we shall rise again.

all of the things (we should be)
Thousands lay bare at my feet.
I admire them as they begin to weep,
and their tears flood the streets.
A quiet hush seems to be the only thing constant.
My reign has seen worse days,
as they attempt to pray the bad away.
No one is coming to save you,
they've all been cast away.
No longer living,
because of the atrocities they've committed.
They all ask the same thing,
"do you regret it?"
...
no.
