Hey guys Dustin here. I’ve only been on the app not even two whole days and I love it. The 6 poems I submitted are a part of a poetry book I’m writing called...... Poetic Lithium the rise and fall of a man’s soul the first 5 are a part of the first part of the book the rise and the fog mirror is a part of the second part of the book the fall. I wake up everyday

But I don’t see myself

My soul has left me

I’ve gone astray

I stand here

Hands on the sink

But I can’t see in

The mirror

It’s not clear

From the fog

I try to wipe it

It still doesn’t clear

All of sudden

I disappear like

The fog on the mirror

Can’t sleep tonight

Because I miss your

Arms around me

I feel lost

Without you here

Every time I close

My eyes I see your face

Only to wake up and

Realize you’re not here

I need you

I can’t wait to see your

Beautiful face and smile

I can’t wait to hear you say

That you love me and you

Miss me

I can’t wait to feel your

Arms wrap around me

When the one you love

Looks into your eyes

They will shine like stars above

Your smile will glow

When the one you love

Loves you the right way

Your skin will glow

Your heart will melt

The one you love

Will never be late

They’ll take away

All of the pain

That’s your soulmate.

I’d stop the world

Wherever we are

Adopt the galaxy

Of a billion stars

I love nothing more

Than to see your smile

I’d walk a million miles

Swim across the ocean’s

To wipe away your sadness

For You

I’ll chase the sun

I don’t need a diamond

Love Is A Battlefield

Sometimes love is blind

You know when it’s real

It’s all you will feel

We shout of anger

We’re not perfect

We feed off the other

We know how to love

Though we’re still learning

We can love without hurting

We save it by fighting
