A student studying professional writing in the beautiful but humid state of Florida. I plan to one day become a full time author.
Write a conversation that shows us everything about the relationship between two characters.
Mother and daughters, husband and wife, soldiers fighting side by side, or just two best friends. Make your story unique and different. Make your characters witty, funny, dark, or petty but write them in a way that makes them realistic.
Please no erotica.
This prompt was inspired by the book Code Name Verity by Elizabeth E. Wein. It is about two best friends, women pilots, world war two, and undercover spies. Go read it if you haven't yet. It is amazing. (Warning it gets really violet, gruesome, and dark at times.)

If you had one last sentence to say what would it be?
Mine would be... Quick! Pass that cookie!

Make something sad happy or vice versa.
Write a story about something inherently happy and make it sad. Or inherently sad and make it happy.
Example: A wedding where all is not as it seems.
Or a funeral where they toast the dead and make the best of things.
Or any other paradoxical premise that would be interesting.

Tell me a story in 15 words.
This time using only 15 words tell me the most complex story you can.
Example:
A soldier may come home, but if defeated, why return?

I followed the Will-O'-The-Wisp.
Where did it take you? How did you get there? What is a will-o'-wisp? Were there consequences for following it? Did it take you to fairy lands, lead you too deep into the forest, grant you wishes, or take you home? Did you fall ridiculously in love with it? Or is it a land siren to lure humans to their deaths? What are its motives? Did it have a sense of humor? Was it a monster of nightmares? Did it pretend to be something it wasn't?
Take us anywhere and tell us anything but tie up loose ends and give us a solid ending.

Twist Ending in 50 words or less.
In such a short amount of words it is hard to tell any story. See if you can write a story that sets expectations and subverts them in the word limit. Change the genre from horror to funny or the opposite. Or trick the reader into believing there is something there is not and reveal it in the last line. Surprise us.
Here is an example of a short story by Hemingway: For sale: baby shoes, never worn.

I never knew the girl, but she knew me.
This line must appear somewhere in your story. The story can be any genre except erotica. Be creative, how did this happen? How did the MC find out she knew about him? (or her if your prefer)
