How Can You Tell if a Christian is Really a Christian?
People all over the world claim to be Christians, but maybe don't live like they claim you should live, and claim certain people can't go to Heaven. How can you tell the real from the false?

Is ‘Real or Fake’ a True Question?

It is not uncommon for people in general to have an idea of how others should live, and have it be quite different from their own life. Christian or not, every human on this Earth can have a tendency to put their expectations of themselves onto others, or point out the things they dislike about themselves in others.

This to me, means, every human has to look into themselves to 'find salvation' or whatever term for finding faith some humans want to use. Those who have the audacity to explain your faith is 'incorrect' probably believe that to be true for themselves more than they do for you, even if they cannot admit it to themselves. I think anyone who has enough faith in themselves will stand strong to their belief systems, and that includes myself.

I know that my faith is correct for me at this very moment in my life, and no one, of any religion or faith will have anything to say that will falter my confidence in myself. To finish, I believe in myself enough to have little to no thought on other humans beliefs, fake or real. It is not my place to project my own faith onto others by saying theirs is right, wrong, real, or fake, because if they believe deeply enough, it won't be about proving they are right to others.

Melody of Life

The carol of the lonely cardinal cries,

Have you listened close enough to hear the tenor of the wind?

Can you find the woodpeckers mellow Metronome?

Do you hear that buzz of the hummingbirds wings?

We must listen close for the drum of a rolling cloud,

Listen close for the pitter of the rain that washes us.

Hear the thunder scream as its fist crashes into the Earth and sky.

Listen for the sharp last breath of prey losing the battle.

Do you hear the last howl of the wolf, before it lays to rest?

That swift mere silence, that the wind plays alone

The quiet that rocks one to rest, a soliloquy of sorrow,

Close your eyes and feel the world, listen to its song

as life and death continue to forever live on.

December

Leaves all gone now,

The evergreens stand tall.

A bare tree, and in it:

A nest, from which a bird flits.

Let’s Walk

Let's take a walk through an ocean town,

We'll wander through the sea.

I wonder, will our bodies ever be found?

Swim deeper, search for the ocean ground,

once we land, we shall go sightsee,

Let's take a walk through an ocean town,

Don't look back, just look around,

It's too late to try to flee,

I wonder, will our bodies ever be found?

Under water, our cries don't make a sound,

No one will ever hear our plea,

Let's take a walk through an ocean town.

Air fights to win on the battleground,

This is it, our big apogee

I wonder, will our bodies ever be found?

breathless and lifeless, finally drowned,

It's all gone, our esprit

Let's take a walk in a ocean town,

I wonder, will our bodies ever be found?

Fun Challenge ... well, it should be
. Take at least 3, no more than 10 song titles and write either a poem or a love letter with each title included. Again, though it is listed as Monarchy, the winner will be chosen by me with the most likes. However, if you do not tag me, It won't matter how many likes you have so put my name in the comment box, not in the piece you write as @Danceinsilence ... let the fun begin!

Your Devotee

I love you so, you are all I want.

The touch of your gentle fingers leaves me weak.

The soft kiss of your lips tastes much like sweet candy.

The shape of you makes me drunk on site.

But when you play that song

And twirl to my arms,

Your love is my cocaine,

And I, your insatiable user.

wind that pulls and preys

Wind that pulls and preys

Upon those fearful sheets.

Once stained a spirited green,

Over time has been airbrushed

The colors of mortality to be dust.

A storm has swollen the sky,

The day, stolen by swirling force.

Flit and flee, the flying display.

Ending it all with a crunch, leaves

under critters feet as they crawl.

In a Perfect World

We would preach graceful acceptance,

Always honor self-reflectance.

Teach every emotion is important,

The world would work to be concordant.

Understanding would be a necessity

And all would comprehend empathy.

A Bright Sand-Mermaid

She sat on the sand, her loose navy dress with white polka dots hearing the many complaints she had of her body. I walked up to her from the water, poking the little dot right under the center of her lip. In her life before me, she had that lip piercing, I wished I could see her like that.

I joined her in sitting, not mentioning my thoughts as I noticed my sapphire suit matched her dark dress, making me feel so proud. Even though I was about as soaked as a rain cloud, my head rested on her shoulder, collecting the shade from her hat. Assuming she felt my boredom through our touch, I wondered if she was able to sense whatever I felt.

"Let's turn you into a mermaid!"

Her sporadic response was normal for the both of us, and I gladly nodded a 'yes' to her. We made mermaids every beach trip. Once I tired of roaming the waves and fishing for those little sand fleas, I always seemed to end up on my seat in the grainy sand while her hands molded the golden sprinkles perfectly into a large tail around my legs. I wondered if mermaids had feet hidden in their tails, kind of like my sand mermaid.

My thoughts couldn't continue their chatter as my mom took off her bright sun-hat and placed it upon my head. To be decorated with such a crown, my mothers sun-hat; I had to be as bright and yellow as her soul in that very moment. Well at the very least I felt that bright, but this time, I knew as soon as my mom leaned in for a hug, she felt it.

What Can I Say, I’m a Heart-Breaker

Okay, I'll admit,

I swore,

I promised.

I said I'd commit.

But not anymore,

I just need to be honest.

Commitment,

its hard for me.

Promises broken.

You're hell-bent,

can't even see,

that I have no devotion.

Swore on the stars,

but reality hurts

and it's daytime now.

I've left you with scars

of trust issues on your heart,

and a torn, love-less vow.

Spotlight You Favorite Writer
As some of you may know, once a month I sort of host Roundtable Wednesday, where one writer is spotlighted the first Wednesday of each month. Now, this is your chance to spotlight your favorite "Proser". In 150 words or less, tell us why this person is your favorite and why we should read what they do. Now, because there has been some issues with winners with the most likes not appearing as the winner, I make this challenge a Monarchy, but what I will do is actually choose the winner with the most likes. But you must make certain to tag me in order to be the potential winner. I will not choose a winner who does not tag me. Tag me in the comment box, not on the post as @Danceinsilence.

Who I Look Up to

Choosing a favorite writer seemed to be a tricky one for most people. Surely, there are so so many amazing options to choose from, but as far as favorites go, I have had the same one since I started writing on here, @Uschibear. With my quaint and short life here on Prose, they instantly caught my eye with their incredibly vivid imagery and absolutely stunning poetry. Ever since, I have felt quite enamored every time I see a post, each word they write brings such a connection, and I couldn't pass up the chance to give them a shout out for it.

Here are some of my favorite pieces of theirs that honestly rocked my world!
