Puppy Love Summer
There was a boy in my neighborhood that made me like sunsets. I was probably ten or eleven and there was a tree up the street from my house that I loved. My brother and I loved climbing trees thanks to George of the Jungle (the Cartoon Network animated show, not the movie) but most trees in my neighborhood didn't have low enough limbs to climb, so the tree in front of this apartment building was a dream come true. It was thick enough to support our weight yet young enough to have low branches. Despite warnings from our parents, my brother and I climbed this tree all the time.
One day, I was climbing the tree by myself (no clue where my sibling was) when I heard this voice. Thinking I had been caught, I quickly jumped down and was prepared to lie to someone, but it was a boy my age. I couldn't tell you a thing about him, except that he was black and was my age and had a little brother named Giovanni. I think his name started with an A. He pardoned me using their tree, and we became friends. I may have even had a crush on him. For a summer, he and I hung out a lot (relatively; I didn't have many neighborhood friends), and I guess we developed a crush on each other, because he told me he liked sunsets because of the colors and now I love watching sunsets.
Sunsets
I prefer sunsets to sunrises mainly because of the splendid array of colors that the vast sky showcases when the glowing red orb sets in the horizon at the edge of the sea. Deep warm yellow,bright orange, pretty pinks and hues of purple paint the sky in streaks like strokes of intoxicating paint onto a blank canvas.

What is the difference. For one side of the world my sunset is their sunrise
Sunsets are warm, cool, and chilling all at the same time.
They shine through the trees, giving the shadows their last step of the day.
Sunrises are warm, cool, and frightening all of the time
They shine through the trees, giving the shadows their first step of the day
Each magnificent, each one different than yesterday
My favorite is the one that happens first. But since they happen at the same time,
I don't think I can choose
