Oh Those Beans
Beans, beans and beans,
so it seems,
has mystical powers
never seen.
Lima, baked, peas and such,
when fed to the belly,
you'll know
when you've eaten too much.
But when it is all said and done.
you've eaten your fill that feels like a ton,
and little did you know to make this resolute,
believe it or not, you have eaten a fruit.
Fantastical faba
beans, beans,
the food that is fraught,
the more you eat,
the more you should not,
but if you eat more,
and dont give a hoot,
you shall be embarresed,
by justice' loud toot.
beans beans,
legume , not a fruit,
its sonorous nature,
brings all disrepute,
alas, tis no fib,
the beans are not hush,
and neither the odor
is a thing you could quash.
beans beans,
the magical thing,
you plant them in gardens,
and wait until spring,
no tumbling giants,
will fall when its late,
but nitrogen compounds,
in soil they fixate.
beans beans,
uniting us all,
the rich, the poor,
the short the tall,
'cause no one's immune,
when they eat this fine seed,
the ghost like traces,
of the choices in feed.
Beans, beans the magical fruit..
"Beans, Beans, the magical fruit!",
sang the plump boy
but he was quite mute.
"The Sun be bright, yes indeed!",
shouted the old man,
who could not see.
"Oh, what a scent, sweet and swell.",
bellowed the tall lady,
who lost her smell.
"Lovely, beautiful, music you make."
called the young girl,
whose ears were fake.
"Oh, what a sensation, calm and chilling."
cackled the dead woman,
with no body for feeling.
Now it be very true,
these folks are all dead.
For rules were not followed, but they quite knew.
So kids beware, rules have reason,
please follow them well.
Or you could join them, next season...
