Carnage
with each blast the
steal wraps around our fates,
making cages of shrapnel
designed careful by a sadistic
and charitable madman.
but I'll shoot my way out
with phantoms that explode
like napalm, I am the shadow
breaking cities to dust
and driving over the ruins
and twisted metal
on my route to wishes granted.
Catch ’Em All!
My journey starts in a town so small,
It doesn't even have a Center.
But perhaps one day I will stand tall,
As a full-fledged Pokemon Master.
Fire, water, grass? A simple choice,
Or so it seems at first.
Each creature has such a cute little voice,
And for victory a powerful thirst.
We walk through tall grass, under trees,
Through caves where rivers wend.
We feel the sun and taste the breeze,
And everywhere find new friends.
We meet great trainers at the gyms,
Where specialists do gather.
We learn to fly, and dig and swim,
Our badges cause all the chatter.
There's mysteries, secrets, hidden ways,
Fun books on all the shelves.
But the best part of each and every day
Is when we make the story ourselves!
Inside
A world that's been left to decay, a child the unlikely hero.
Inside, no words are spoken, written or heard.
The only accompaniment you have is the steady hum of music swelling where intensity is at its peak, and blending when moments stand still.
A dash of red! Almost as if to mark a target.
Perhaps though, it's an indication of my objective.
Perhaps a symbol of clarity in a world made up entirely of gray area.
Maybe it's the light you must shed on a world abandoned of hope.
A journey not without its toils requires your utmost patience, focus, failure and perseverance.
You will most certainly fail along the way, but it is through the conquering of this failure that you will come closer to success.
How many times though, will your grip on reality slip until success is once again out of your reach?
You must once again see the world through the eyes of a child, pure and unprejudiced.
Innocent to the plagues of the world that surround you, you must choose whether to be a victim or a hero.
This perspective must merge with all of your separate parts until you become one complex, living being.
Then and only then will you be free of the restraints the world in which you were born placed upon you.
Freed into the Outside.
When The Sun Shines
I look at you
The glow of the sun casting shadows around us
But we can not pull ourselves away
The sun
Is what they tell us it is
It's beautiful
Far better than what we onced dreamed
As we huddled in our kingdom
Far beneath the ground
The curse has been lifted
And with it our hopes
Can monsters and humans
Lived together again
I think so
As I look over the mountain and spot the kid
Talking with the king
They look over and give a wave
Eliciting a smile from me
Maybe our time for peace has come
As it seems our UnderTale is done
I am a man of fortune
I long believed I was destined for something great.
For those who prove worthy, paradise awaits.
But paradise is a myth,
I have found.
Instead,
is a world of wonders and impossibilities
Known only to the thieves,
who know no bounds.
So come with me, into the uncharted depths,
The fathoms unexplored, and unimagined.
They are meant for the dreamers.
I ask of you this:
Are you ready to seek your fortune?
A beautiful land
It has been a very long time since I've seen something this beautiful
A beautiful meadow
A park full of tranquility
A downtown plaza that was empty not long ago.
This is the game that will cause a paradigm shift
People have been going outside more, you know.
Surely you know what I'm thinking of
Since playing it is part of the new status quo.
I send my deepest gratitude to the folks
that live in the Japanese archipelago.
It's thanks to them that we have this network
that stretches from north Borneo
all the way to New Mexico.
Within this web of interconnection
we all play this game and grow
A global phenomenon
With greater reach than any TV show.
I'm sure we all appreciate finding
creatures that have an electric glow.
Bringing us outside for the first time in years
it surely makes everyone say "whoa"
Anyone, anywhere
In bustling Chicago
or a small pocket borough
can enjoy in this spectacle
the greatest masterpiece since Van Gogh
An onion dinosaur
A fire lizard
A blue turtle
Brought to life
The dreams of many have finally come true.
Battling friends
Exploring the world
The wonder of this game seems to have no end.
This is just the beginning of
Pokémon Go.
Forest of home
A reunion with the forest of childhood, a sanctuary from the world.
The world;
The evil in abundance, the squabbling cultures, the fake allies, the real enemies, bloody battles set in favor of nobody's edge.
The forest is home, thought the stranger. His sword bore the weight of his calling upon his weary back. But he could be strong. He didn't have much in the ways of power, but he knew his courage was infallible, like the walls of time.
His triforce would see to that, he knew.
