See Me Fly
See me in heaven
When I’ve passed away
In the stars; in the moon
In the milky way
In the breaking of dawn
Coral sun slowly rising
A scattering of brilliance
’Cross all the horizon
In majestic bald eagles
Aloft in the air
In the billowy clouds
That drift here and there
In the mid-day sunshine
That kisses your cheeks
That pierces the windows
And warms with its heat
In sea salty waves
That lap on the shore
In perpetual motion
Their ebb and their flow
In blossoms and flowers
That flourish in spring
In the birds of the morning
That echo and sing
In the showers of rain
That cleanse all the earth
And wash it anew
Bringing joy and mirth
In fiery sunsets
Of deep orange and pink
As the cool, blue sky
Is brushed with eve’s ink
See me, I’m with you
Gaze with your eyes
My body gave way
So my spirit could fly
See
See me.
See me kindly if you can,
See me blindly without preconceptions of who I am.
See me naked without judgement's blanket covering what is there
Or the trappings of this world and what I wear
See me without comparision's glaring hate filled stare
Don't look for ways we differ, we all do--see instead the thread we weave and share
See me and paint me kindly if you will
With all the love inside you that is still
Inside yourself and maybe you will see
The beauty that is still inside of me.
i exist
see me
i’m breathing
spent years thinking outside of the box
forgeting to look for what’s already inside
farsight can blind you sometimes
when you never met prying eyes
it’s like looking past your own reflection when you look through the window
it’s faded
out of focus
but it’s there
staring right back at you
while you create wrinkles with your eyebrows
with some distant worries
not even noticing
you exist
windowpane
See me through
the windowpane
my breath
fogs the glass
Watch my fingers
curl up and
watch me
breathe my last
Trapped behind
these wicked walls
with ivy
growing high
They smother and
they strangle and
they swallow up
my cries
I cannot see
you or
the world
beyond this place
But I can feel the
sunlight through
the darkness
on my face
Everywhere I Am
See me in your mind,
Feel me in your heart.
Close your eyes
And see me next to you
When we are so far apart.
See me not is to not see my love,
One that grows with unboundless energy
Each time my eyes are pulled into yours
And the pool of life we swim in,
Will let our emotions float freely.
See me as I see you,
Plain yet beautiful,
Quiet, yet passionate.
See this is what love is about.
See me.

#SeeMe #Challenge
See me
A ghost, a heathen, a shadow
Witness my fire, my earth
There is a spitting mountain in my belly
Hear me
Just a whisper, I am without thunder
Touch me
I will calm the hurricane for you
Please
See me?
On the sidelines of your life?
On the bench, alone?
I guess you don't.
I guess it is too little too late.
Don't you see me?
How hard I've tried?
I reach out, but touch wall.
I reach out, but hear nothing.
Have you been locked in a cage?
Pushed from another's life?
I don't think so.
I don't think you ever have.
Maybe if it had happened to you
You would see me
Screaming for the keys
And you'd open the door.
But you don't, do you?
See me?
Please.
Optical Illusion
See me
Why don't you
Steal
A second glance
I’ll be a different person
When given the chance
Would you stare at both images
until they blur into one?
Could you see them apart
And also at once?
My heart both hopes
that if you really saw me
you'd love me
and fears
that's why you don't
A Work in Progress
See me as the person I want to become
As someone with velvet finger tips and a satin tongue
That only knows shapes akin to those of love
