Challenge of the Month XXXVII
Give us one page of a book, story, or poem of yours. If it's a poem, it can be up to two pages. We don't care if it's already something you posted. For the big, fat $100, put up your picked page or poem. Winner will be chosen by Prose.
a breath of fresh air
Wind brushes past my face
like the softness of a mothers touch
Rain drops surround and immerse me
Like a blanket of comfort
Leaves crunch under my feet
Like the waves crashing against the sand
Flowers give in to the touch of my hand
Like a long awaited hug
Water flows over the smooth rocks
Like tears flowing down your cheeks
The sun shines through the trees
Like a flashlight shines through the wooden panels on your back porch
Birds sing the endless melody of nature
Like a song that never stops
Clouds hang in the sky
Like unsaid words
Dirt crumbles between my fingers
Like grains of sand
The moons reflection shines on the water
Like the sun's reflection shines in your morning coffee
