An Arm and A Leg
Sarah had a plan
A plan of getting away
But she lacked the currency she needed to pay
She knew of a place where she wanted to go
A magical place all covered in snow
As she looked at the poster "the Arctic" it read
A voice from behind came and it said
“that would surely cost an arm and a leg”
At this, she was quite puzzled as she did not understand
But she could not let this get in the way of her plan
Sarah was quite different from you and from I
she could not tell the difference from the truth and a lie
sarcasm, jokes, and others alike
sayings and phrases like "go take a hike"
See Sarah was an outcast, it was hard to fit in
as much as she tried she could never win
she took a liking to puffins, those cute Arctic birds
for they could not speak and confuse her with words
Taking things literally never was much of a problem
Until the day she saw the poster that Autumn
To her apartment, she speeded
She knew what she needed
"I will live in the arctic" is what she repeated
"and forget all those times I was badly mistreated"
So now there she stood as lonely as can be
when all she ever wanted was just to be free
but her freedom was quite costly, an arm and a leg
Sarah needed hers so she took her roommates instead
Just a quick snip, a pull, and a tear
Getting carried away and even shaving her hair
“This will do it, they will see”
“Just a few more clips and there I’m free”
Box
I sit here inside a hollow box
All alone with my thoughts
White is all I see
Nothing else except for me
No windows, No doors
Just four walls and a floor
The top might be open, I can't really tell
I tried going up there but somehow I fell
When climbing up is really down
You can't help but make a frown
But the bright side I guess would be
Soon they'll be sending someone in with me.
Meant to be
This heart I give to you my love,
for you're a gift send from above.
Be careful and protect it dear,
It took a while to get it here.
For this is not my heart you see,
Without it I can't quite be me.
I took it from a guy name Dave
I dug it out right from his grave
surly Dave won't mind, he'll see
that you and I were meant to be
Valentine
On this day of hearts and sweets
Walking down these lonely streets
A perfect date is what's a head
But then we walk up to a shed.
We’re now inside, all is locked
Bullets loaded, pistol cocked
You looked quite puzzled, “why are we here?”
In your eyes lies true fear
“What is this?, what are you doing?”
“Ask that man that you were wooing!”
But she can’t because he's dead
He’s 6 feet under, severed head.
She screams and cries
“I didn’t mean it!”
All those lies
I should have seen it
“Forgive me love, I'll make things right!”
Hands are shaking, her face is white
I can not let this go this way
I’ve been so hurt, she needs to pay
All these years the love I felt
Remembering the day I knelt
Blood is pumping, anger roaring
“Please calm down”, she's imploring
can’t think straight, blacking out
I just need her not to shout.
A piercing sound, my ears are ringing
Through the noise I hear faint singing.
In my arms, golden hair
Blissful feeling, lovely stare.
Silky sheets against our skin
God, forgive her foolish sin.
The ringing’s back, I'm in the shed
She's standing there, look of dread
Bullet wound right through her head
Warm blood trickles down my face
I have to hurry and clean up the place.
