Sea Lover
Now the sea is calling me her lover
I knew it was true the moment I met her
She grabbed my hand and smiled
In the waves, we moved and danced
It was all at once a true romance
I knew her embrace and full expanse
We played through night and day
As she called me singing "sail my way"

His Love
His love was real and true.
His love was more than he knew.
More than he could love the sea.
More than he loved the sunset.
More than all the colors he could paint.
More than all of time could ever wait.
His love was without a measure.
His love was unconditional.
More than anything,
His love still remains.
Change #757
My back hurt
My feet worse
I was exhausted
I felt defeated
The restless days
The sleepless nights
This playful heart
This hungry brain
A weight shouldered
A stress contained
No time remaining
No patience same
Dropped my guard
Dropped the pain
Took deep breaths
Took in everything
Chose timely change
Chose without notice
Set new direction
Set plan forward
Picked favorite trinkets
Picked necessary things
Let burdens lay
Let junk remain
Shouldered loaded pack
Shouldered listing pride
Turned priorities focus
Turned avoiding collision
Boarding flight #757
Boarding this morning
Never say never
Never ran faster
Changing my life
Changing in time
Saving this adventure
Saving from disaster
Smiles are showing
Smiles stalk sunrise
Chasing this heart
Chasing dreams surprise
Writing chapter’s end
Writing books again
Painting foreign colors
Painting brighter pictures
Learned Tree’s promise
Learned flight’s secret
Neverland’s exploration ending
Neverland’s departure operation
With loaded baggage
With affairs attended
One way ticket
One half missing
Soul looking upwards
Soul speaking whispers
Hope praying sounds
Hope you’re proud
Yah excited, love?
Yah watching today?
Come and play
Come say hey

‘Hey’
Two years ago today
We were doing okay
Laughs back in May
Now I only pray
Dreams of lost play
Old texts whisper, ‘Hey’

Shield
I will put down my sword only when you put down that shield.
That thing you call a shield, that thing you are hidden beneath; it has for too long obstructed the world’s view of your beautiful.
My sword and I only wish to set you free.

Truth
With this sword
at my fingertips,
every fantastical lie
I write bleeds
the ink of
truth.

Wild Woman
She ran with the wolves,
rode upon the backs of grizzlies,
and laid with the lions.
She had no fear
and I found that more dangerous
than the company she kept.

Change Starts Changing Middles Changes Ends
Start in the middle. It’s where we all begin - end.
Where there once was no you to ask the old - new.
The beginning of the end; it’s a place to mend - rend.
To attempt an answer in words; blank - drawn.
Who ever you are again; you aren’t now - then.
Doesn’t matter honestly; yesterdays - tomorrows.
Both are steady sources of time; both lost - borrowed.
The middle again is only where to begin - end.
Right now, this moment, is the middle; beginning’s - end.
Focus on the present its the starting place; end - began.

Is hardly-fair
A shiney gold sure
Oh maybe crowns gems

Pretty sunshine on hair
