Building Blocks
I snapped my pencil points,
cracked my pens,
bust my typewriter,
crashed my laptop.
I was too afraid to write that letter,
terrified to see those words on the page.
I began to write a message in the air,
thought twice,
and broke my hands.
Everything can be fixed.
Everything can heal.
But you can’t unwrite the written,
I convinced myself.
When I could not find a writer’s block,
I built my own and curled up in its shadow.
