Challenge
Pen an absolutely REVOLTING Valentine's Day poem to someone you wish to kill (smother? maim?) with kindness. No more than ten lines, please! Evisceration and filthy, colorful language of yore are a plus. Tag me in the comments, if you wish. #myloathsomevalentine
The Higher the Pedestal, the Uglier the Distance
I look up to you on pedestal, marbled
As you look down to where you've placed me.
Encased me, replaced me, my name garbled
By reductionist captivity.
We share this commutative column, conflicting
Conducting the head-on traffic
Of if-onlies, what-evers, solemn inflicting
Of desires pornographic.
Hold you, behold you, enfold you, take your breath
Kiss you, dismiss you, miss you, lick you to death.
