Sodom revealed
My home was a place beyond compare. Vast shades of green spun all around. Transcendent and exquisite, the landscape sparkled in the illumination of the sun.
I quietly shuffled to the well, for water to supply my needs that day.
A man, beaten, bruised, and ghastly to look upon lay in the street.
"Please give me water or bread," he begged.
I contemplated only a blink, and knew I must help this poor wanderer, left for dead.
The law forbid anyone to feed a stranger.
I could not, and would not let this stop me from giving provision.
"You, there," shouted the guard, "What do you think you are doing!"
My flesh rubbed against the jagged wall of rock.
My wrist burn from the ropes that held me tight.
Honey dripped from my dangling body.
The sweet aroma did nothing to calm the reality of my fate.
My punishment; abhorring. Death by the sting of bees.
