A Thing Of Beauty
Do I really need to confess this comparison
And say that loving you is my sole mission
For I would run short of beauty to compare
Of your face, lips, innocence and hair
Then accuse your critics of being liars
If they ever grew bored and tired
For beauty is purely in your domain
As your smile drives your lovers insane
You're a cool breeze with a touch of sun
The pixie girl with a dash of crazy fun
Makes me wonder of the creator's wish
To have made you into such a dish
The hope of a charm in a world so bleak
You're what the quarrelers fight and seek
Like a spirit not born of this sea and land
But a thing of beauty, limitless like the sands
Whose grace dwells not in your stride alone
But also deep within, a beauty that most scorn
One that keeps this heart's beats steady and alive
Wishing that one day you could be mine
But to end this list of lovely adulation
There's this one final ebbing addition
That the heavens could not please after I depart
Nor bring some closure to my troubled heart
For it found heaven on earth first when it struck you
How to pass away the days without you, no clue
