Experiential Third Person
She spent too much time in hospitals,
Trying to convince the nurse she’s acquittal
Though we all know it was rehearsed,
No one sees more deflection
Than her own sore reflection
They’ll stick when she’s sick
Forget healing,
She strived to escape
From the people and the feelings
She longed to replace with anything
She thought could fill the space
So she let them pump her full of pills
In hope they would accidentally kill
She said she would do anything to make it all go away
Even though it has been years since she last prayed
Now her cigarettes are stained red,
Though a different red stains her bed
Is that enough to fix her head,
Or is this girl already dead?
