Dreadful Weird
We wrote our stories, together
Ink to wide rule paper in a thin black binder
But as I play out our fantasy
You're growing distant as I'm growing empty
You could say I'm still attached
But could you blame me for thinking us the perfect match?
You know we should loathe each other
For dancing all without your comfort smothered
Oh mention of us is so deadly sober
For you I did my all, a quiet little soldier
Please grant one final moment
Let's show the world just how we struggle to lament
You know that I am dreadful weird
You know that I can disappear
So watch me fade into the sunlight
A dirty stain left on your face, so clear...
