Challenge
Does it influence your reading-experience, if you know the author's gender? Do you write for a gender-specific audience? Is it honestly all about the characters/plot/style/genre/subject, or does the meta data (author name, popularity, sex, birthplace, etc.) matter as you choose your next readable? I'm curious.
Your opinion could be partially, unofficially, swaying my final decision on a pseudonym. I'm not making this challenge entirely empty-handed. I have a whole 28 coins in my possession that I'd be willing to part with for an honest, carefully considered answer. (In the event of a tie, there'll be sharing going on.) You guys choose the winner. I'll "juice" the coins to your account upon the close of the contest. Thanks! (Yes, those are currently all the coins I have. Pending further juicing, all I'm likely to have. Appreciate the implicit value, mates!)
I Don’t Judge By The Cover (Or Anything Else), I judge By The Book
I look at the book,
I judge the cover,
I read the back to see if it's got a good plot,
I look at the author to see if I know them,
I don't judge by gender or pen name,
I don't judge if they are aliens or born here,
I don't judge by the author, I judge by the book.
