Handbook of Toxicology
You do not have to accept
The snake's venom
It is better to decline.
When your eye falls on that serpent
Do not run.
Tell it to run away from you:
You have to be more dangerous
To master danger fully.
Be aware
The snake may be disguised
As your teacher or a friend
Toxins laced with sugared lies
But there are more ways to die than one
And more than one way to live.
When despite all measures taken
The snake does bite indeed
Question its nature thoroughly
To find an antidote, if anything
Remember next to be resolved
Dispell the serpent from your life
To prevent future injury.
