True Poetry
Poetry is so much more than ink on a page or pixels forming words on a computer screen. It comes in so many forms--sometimes a hastily scribbled thought on a napkin, or sunlight on the snow, even the smell of blacktop after the rain.
Poetry is an outpouring of many emotions--happiness, sorrow, anger, loneliness... Each poem is different and unique.
It is a deeper language, going far past the simple words used to create its being. It has the language of emotion, the language that all understand and speak.
And sometimes poetry isn't even words. Poetry is everything we see, everything we breathe, and everything we believe.
Poetry is what keeps us alive, makes us keep loving, makes us keep believing and hoping in impossible things. We only die emotionally when we stop seeing or caring about the poetry that weaves its comforting tapestry about us.
