People do not choose who they love

But they do choose to hate.

Everyone needs to feel loved.

But hate hurts everyone.

We just want to get on with our lives

But some want to end them.

Hidden away inside ourselves

Because they "just don't want to see it ".

The great shame of our lives

Is not that we don't love who you think we should.

Or that we aren't the gender that was

forced.

It's that we can't teach you how to love
