Uselessly

Together we stayed,

As good as one.

A broken shape,

Yet still we run.

Views of mine,

Views of yours.

Uselessly bound,

They swept the shores.

What is it for?

What could it mean?

You and I-

We are nothing.

Running away,

From billions more.

Why should we try,

For this expanding world?

Just two people is all we were.
