Anything But Dull

It is the harbinger of chaos when it fills the sky,

Be it from smoke or from an oncoming storm

Chaos is what it can be

It is the duality of right and wrong

The uniform color of justice

Neutral, is what it’s best known for

It is proof of wisdom

A touch of this shade gives one not only age

But an understanding of life itself

It is innovation

Entire cities are cast in this scheme

Systems of travel, communication and infrastructure shine with it

It is solace

Death may come in the dead of night or in blinding light

However, this shade tells us that a life is done

It is a starting point for existence

From its ashes life may sprout anew

For every end provides a new beginning

It is the only comfort I have ever known

His gaze was as soft as wool

Yet they could cut one like a blade

It is a representation of a great deal of things

To the smallest of pebbles to the largest mountains

However, it is anything but dull
