We cried ourselves a hurricane
I heard this line in a song recently, and it was so tragically beautiful...write a story or poem with this line in it somewhere. Don't forget to tag me @chainedinshadow so I can read and enjoy your wonderful entries!
A Town Destroyed
Bombs explode in time with my beating heart
Lives racing to the finish line
Safely crossing but never knowing the next time they will depart
Perhaps never, some say
But no one knows
to their dismay
Bodies tremble with each roar
A sound that no one
Could ignore
Some sit, some stand
Some try and think of ways
That we could get the upper hand
We cried ourselves a hurricane
Knowing that our tears
Could do nothing but hide our pain
Up above the surface,
Houses crumble and crash
While just below,
Our lives have turned to nothing but ash
