Challenge
Challenge of the Week CXC
Locked Up. Prison, house arrest, quarantine, perhaps a secret. Write about someone, or something, locked up. Fiction or non-fiction, poetry or Prose.
Greasing the Gears
Three walls,
absent of color,
stained
with earth’s
graffiti paint.
Thoughts,
barred behind
grey matter,
join the voice
of
martyred saints —
as tears,
transcending
lock and key;
one language
of
the soul:
words,
imprisoned,
breaking free
to smooth
a
heart
of
stone.
