become women?

At what point does

society brand you?

I’m not sure how old

Isabella is

but her poise

and grace

make her seem mature beyond her

years

and even though

we no longer speak

at parties

because I couldn’t keep

my mouth shut

Isabella knows.

She became a woman

long before she met me

and will remain one

long after I become one.
