Challenge
Challenge of the Week CXCIX
From being encased by uterine fluid to the bright light of day one: Write a poem about being born.
Spring Green
Every spring brings
A new greengold day,
Dappled by past autumns
And draped on winter bones
Like a shroud. The corpse beneath it
Cannot dim the brilliance
Of a fragile shoot bursting from
The womb of the earth.
