Remembering for All the Wrong Reasons

close friends,

a cheerful night,

one to remember until the end of time,

holidays around the corner,

surrounded by those that mattered,

including him,

except,

the night was one to remember for all the wrong reasons,

he tried to slip his hand up her dress,

despite her tears and dismay,

and yet surrounded by others,

who now felt unfamiliar,

and all of a sudden the holidays didn't matter anymore
