However is anyone to do anything when called hither and thither as a bee? The sweet nectar of a bee is great and all, and perhaps necessary, but the grandeur of the universe and all of imagination is lost to the myopic insect. Have you ever felt that you can't ever write because of all the things pulling you in different directions? Here is a safe space to rant about it. Feel free to use as much description and as many obscure words as you desire.

New Challenge and one that should be fun for all of you to do ... It's called Reverse Poetry. Please follow the description to the letter. Winner will receive The "Reversal Award."

Your piece must be seven lines long ... first line 7 words long ... next line: 6 words ... next line: 5 words ... next line: 4 words ... next line: 3 words ... next line two words ... last line: one word ... when finished ... post both with the first version on top, the reversed one underneath with a single space between the two ... and please ... tag me in the comment box as @Danceinsilence ... do not tag me in the post itself. Also, failure to tag me will disqualify your work. If you do so, your entry will not be judged or read so make sure you tag me properly and again, only in the comment box ...The word count includes any title you put above your piece, otherwise the actual word count is 56 for the same piece twice. Good luck with this! I will start it off if you want to get the idea.

Purity of Heart

As soft, gentle breezes caresses me so;

smiling, a shiver runs through me,

this feeling captured my being,

holds onto my soul;

I am captured,

by you;

evermore.

Hello @danceinsilence I hope this won't be rude, I asking for knowledge. but didn't you say to start with 7 words count down 6 5 4 3 2 1 then up again 1 2 3 4 5 6 7? I keep counting 8 words on your first line. I am asking, because does that matter? Thank you?

I did something similar to this before. I called it an hourglass poem lol. It didn't repeat itself backward though. I will try it.
