Conglomerate
This is a word I tend to throw around most often with no real rhyme or reason, except to simply say the word: Conglomerate. I think I’ve always liked it, because it sounds like, and means in a strange way, a hodge-podge word.
There are several ways to use it.
As a noun: “This site is a conglomerate of people, showcasing, improving, and glorifying each other’s writing skills.”
An adjective: “Our business is part of a conglomerate corporation.”
Even as a verb: “Let’s conglomerate over in the Convention Center.”
It’s also a type of sedimentary rock, random but true.
Its main meaning is a bunch of individual parts/pieces/people, grouped together to form a whole beautifully diverse collective. It may sound like an odd clunky word, but I think it’s descriptive purpose is stunning to behold.
