Challenge
Any Old Thing
Find one of your old scraps; one of the disheveled thoughts jotted down half-formed or too embarrassingly honest to share. You know the ones, the dismissed, discarded bits and bobs written in the margins or napkins. Rescue one and give it new life.
All I Ever Wanted
All I ever wanted,
was to see you always smile.
All I ever wanted,
was your happiness intact.
All I ever wanted,
was your life filled with comfort.
All I ever wanted,
was your heart filled with warmth.
All I ever wanted,
was joy surrounding you always.
All I ever wanted,
was your world filled with love.
All I ever wanted,
were those things and so much more;
and if it means my leaving,
to return so much back into your soul;
then, goodbye.
