A Moment
For a moment
I could feel you today
Astonishingly potent
The way it felt when we'd laugh and play
Contentedly sublime
And the pause gave an ephemeral treasure
For an instant I was transported back in time
The way a smell can fill your mind with memories
This feeling took hold of me
Wrapped me up inside of reverie
Brought me back to you
Then as quickly as the moment came it blew
As ghostly as a breeze
No evidence left of the tease
Except the experience of nostalgia lingering in me
Residue of the past affecting my energy signature
Leaving its fingerprint, once more, upon my subtle body
