your skin is liquid silver
under the morning sun
and i am a riverbed
aching to be an ocean
the side of my mouth
crawled with thin cracks
and blooming crimson
until my skull is opened
i cement your fingertips
into the sins of my mind
with dried up mercury
mistaken for warm silver
