People often overlook the fact that magnets have more than one side.

If you’ve ever been in a marital spat

You know of what I speak;

The stronger the initial cling,

The further you’re repelled upon reversal.

Only to be bonded again at the drop of a hat

With seemingly permanent zeal...

It’s as though some childish god is playing,

Flipping us over and around each other,

Fascinated,

Both by our predictability,

and our illogical movements.
