Indifference

You were definitely right when you said you were “different” Of all the times I’ve fallen for someone, all the times I’ve heard “I’m different” I knew it was never going to be true. Just deep in my soul I could feel it will never be the case. I could see it in your eyes, I could hear it in the slight tremble when you spoke those words, I could sense it in your body language. You’re no different I thought. You’re going to use me and abandon me just like everyone else. No matter what I give this always seems to happen. Well I was sadly mistaken because of all the woman I’ve fallen for over the years you proved me wrong. You were the only one that after abandoning me didn’t come back with a “you were the best thing that ever happened to me” or “you treated me so well I made a mistake” or even a simple “I miss you or sorry”! Every other person has made that effort as fruitless as it was. So you were right you were definitely different or perhaps just indifferent.
