Secret Roses

Under the ivy

if you know where to look

a hidden door

a hidden nook

the walls are sandstone

a fountain in the middle

reflects a rainbow of

nature’s sweet fiddle

a bench in the shade

gazes on plump pregnant buds

t’is spring in the garden

fresh green, it broods

Slivers of color

lilac, pink, yellow and white

red, both light and so dark

it could be the night

Promises of glory

as the sun shines above

The world will abound

with the prisms of love
