My hometown reminds me of Puget Sound. Beaches with tide pools. Low tide was the best, so much to see. Crabs, see stars, whatever makes the bubbles in the sand. The salty air and seaweed. Many a day spent at the beach. Sand castles and counting train cars as they go by. Ferry rides to visit friends. I remember when they had food service on them. Would usually get a chocolate chip cookie and watch the scenery. Old Mill Town and the Yost park and pool. These were special to me as part of my family tree. The various tree lined streets were a nice drive. Can not remember the names of them all. Anthony’s Beach Cafe was always a treat. The little downtown area shops were always nice. I can still remember the fountain there, and the time someone put bubbles in it. What a mess, bubbles everywhere.Who can forget the Pancake Haus. Many a weekend brunch was had there. I know some things have changed over the years. So many memories were made. This was my hometown, this is Edmonds.
