Operatically Trembling Thankfuls

Ostentatious troubadours

Touch fine fickle saps,

Simpering extravagance

’Neath turgid epitaphs;

Throaty titillations

’Fuscating follyflaps.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Perhaps an explanation is in order: ”follyflaps” is a word which here means the feeling of unease one experiences in the tummyflops when suddenly realizing one’s own folly. Additionally, ’Fuscating, obviously short for obfuscating, is taken from the Latin “fuscus” meaning obscure, dusky, or something to do with the cover of darkness.. . Hopefully this clears up any misunderstandings resulting from my compulsion to rhyme even at the expense of formulating heretofore unknown or obfuscatery phrases, for which I am grievously and pompously apologetic.
