On the Other Side
Grass is always greener on the other side
Because you don’t see the soil beneath
The rotting undergrowth and dead debris
The obverse of the coin remains shrouded
In ebbing mystery
You can’t invert this scene
For a coin’s two sides can only be seen
One face at a time
Unless you take the coin and shatter it
Cleanly into two pieces
But you’re still left with only half a piece
You can only view each side partially
There’s so much left
That I don’t know
