Staring out a window, yet seeing nothing,
a meal prepared for one, yet, not hungry,
picture in a frame, staring back at me.
I stared back with a grimacing smile,
I whisper, "Good morning."
Your smile brightens the darkest of nights,
Life isn't the same without you.
Empty. Longing. Loving.
