Lake of Love
You were drinking from the lake of love...
You had cleaned away all sediment,
And now you traipsed along the rivers edge,
Banking down upon this riverbed...
The night came on, and you were calm...
The river turned a lilac blue...
A sheaf of flowers filled her mouth...
You saw yourself reflected through...
...Though in a way far more divine
Filtered right through the river's glow...
You knelt and drank her mystic brine
And were immersed within her show...
An owl hooted down through trees...
Off in the distance, meandering
A waterfall could be perceived...
You dipped a toe, and then dived in...
You were drinking from the lake of love...
You had cleaned away all sediment,
And now you traipsed along the rivers edge,
Banking down upon this riverbed...
You felt the climate 'round your skin
Conform to your submerged desires...
You let the river guide you forth,
Riding her stream, you were propelled...
You followed through the channels of
This magic river for sometime...
Until by the rush of her alluvial
You were deposited in kind...
You swam enclosed in her new wreath,
So private in the rivers mouth...
The night winds blew the leaves and seeds...
Hovering close, a fawn's white snout...
You were drinking from the lake of love...
You had cleaned away all sediment,
And now you traipsed along the rivers edge,
Banking down upon this riverbed...
You are amended by the river's taste...
Now you leave her for a trail through trees...
You look back and see a new effect...
She's sprung a violet fuchsia stream...
