Fractures
You promised me the world;
Your tongue twisted every word as it snaked over my body;
Your hands tangled my will as they grazed my skin;
Your eyes devoured my soul as I saw my universe in them;
Your heart intertwined with mine, singing in unison.
Until
You ripped your heart out, taking mine with it, fully, roughly,
leaving emptiness in its place.
You cut my skin with your words,
your carelessness.
You engraved remarks on my body
with your burning tongue,
slithering across all of my insecurities,
brightening them,
biting them,
caressing them.
Until
There was no more left,
Of me.
