Amnesia
Her thoughts are troubled with the joys of her past.
Reaching for these flashes,
as they fade and never last.
Her heart thumps, like the knock of a drum.
Ready to rupture-free,
fragmented messes of crumbs.
Pulled away and stranded, yet familiar pieces.
Lost in the open with shredded creases.
Excruciating abdominal twists, into a knot.
Killing her softly, right now in this spot.
Forgetting, forgetting, slowly forgetting.
A trek of unpositioned pain,
coursing through her mind.
Annihilating her timeline,
there's none left to find.
Light mental capacity,
a recommencement of life at bay.
No hope but determination left,
anxious to attack the new privileged day.
