The Saison Sisters Go To The Beach
“Hey guys! Come on, let’s go, we’re going to be late!” Daisy had a spring in her step. She could never wait to get outside.
Winnie, who had been lingering at the door rolled her icy blue eyes. She had very little patience for Daisy’s gaiety and took great pleasure in freezing out her sister. “How on earth am I related to her?” she asked Toni, drolly.
“Chill out, Daisy. You know you overheat when you get too worked up.” Toni offered dispassionately, in an attempt to appease Winnie’s overbearing nature. She would rather stay on Winnie’s good side, as much as possible.
Sunny thundered down the stairs. Her curly hair was more frizz than curl today. Clapping Toni on the shoulder, she said, “You know I can take care of Daisy if she overheats. Let her have her moment.” She chuckled, with a wink at her sister. Sunny and Daisy were Irish twins, and nearly inseparable. They were often mistaken for one another, which oddly seemed to happen more when they travelled in the South.
Winnie looked at her exuberant sisters. “Whatever. So. What’s the plan for today, then?”
Daisy and Sunny shared a look and shouted in unison, “THE BEACH!”
Toni raised her eyebrows considering for a moment, then conceded with a shrug, “Ok, fine. I do suppose the beach is a place we can all have a good time at today.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’ll make an appearance too.” Winnie yielded.
Daisy and Sunny squealed with delight and headed out the door discussing how rare it was for Winnie to agree to come to the beach with them, and how much of a statement she would make.
“Look out world. Here we come.” The Saison sisters giggled as they piled into the car and headed off on another wild adventure.
