Agony

Between us lies an expansive distance,

Two halves of a whole secluded by miles.

Wholly affecting our joint existence,

Resulting in few and far between smiles.

Emptiness impossible to convey,

Lucid reveries with you by my side.

Consumed with unfathomable dismay,

Wistfully awakening teary-eyed.

Wordless to describe how much I miss you,

Despite hefty odds, I cling to the chance.

Not so patiently awaiting rescue,

To find myself in your arms as we dance.

Solitude is not inherently tough,

With passage of time, enough is enough.
