The Seasoning
...a haiku on change and weather...
Fall
With a heavy knock
Vibrant autumn arrives as
Summer bids farewell
Flowers wilt and fade
Leaves dress in red and orange
The cold nights draw in
Sap flow slows, then stops
As trees prepare for winter
And dark months of rest
Feathered friends fly south
Horses grow thick, fluffy coats
The wind starts to bite
I sit by the fire
Sipping hot, sweet, tea - gazing
At the dancing flames
