Loss

I was four years old

as I lost my favourite toy,

I cried for half an hour- then I found another one to play.

I was fourteen years old

as I lost my heart to the guy next to me at school.

I cried two weeks as he fell in love with my best friend- then I found another one to love.

I was twenty-four years old 

as I lost you in the battle against yourselfI still cry.
