Brokenness

you are a mirror

of a broken world

your little, young eyes

have seen so much

of a tough world

of brokenness

Innocence

you have lost it

at a very young age

you have seen so many

things others couldn’t

dare to dream of

but you could ever dream

of innocence

Hardness

you have created

to protect yourself

from the enemies

outside yourself

and a fragile world

of hardness

Restlessness

you can’t find rest

for you and your mind

only harsh fragments

unimaginable and cruel

you wish nobody sees

what’s printed in your eyes

of restlessness

Peacefulness

I hope and pray for you

you’ll find peace eventually

for your mind and eyes

so you can finally rest

so you can fully enjoy life

of peacefulness
