Split Perspective
I love writing "moments," small scenes that give away just enough to spark interest. (See "Crowds," "Re:Max"/"Re:Max II," and "Rosemary.") I've been considering doing a series of split perspectives, where I show the same instance from two different perspectives. I'd be interesting in seeing the same. It could be a break-up, a tense moment between siblings, a supermarket visit, etc. Exciting or mundane, show the same moment from at least two perspectives. This would probably be easiest in prose, but do whatever floats your boat. Please tag @wabisabi in the comments.

Write Ugly
Whether its with choppy sentences, weird topic, or in your characterization/dialogue, write something ugly. I put in a lot of effort to make my writing sound good and feel rhythmic, making my prose almost poetic. I'm tired of it. Please write me something to inspire off-beat styling. Please tag @wabisabi, I'll be choosing the winner.

Challenge me.
Its been some time since I've logged on, Prosers. I'm looking to flex my poetry muscles and see how well I can write to order. So, if you're interested, DM me with some details: topic, style parameters, etc., and I'll do my best to write something up to snuff. Once finished, I'll post the results on this feed and tag you.

wtiyos
Artists often throw down dtiyos challenges, so why not wtiyos? Write This In Your Own Style. Choose between my wordy "echoes," my poem "Spellbound," or my confusing mess "a conversation." Then edit it in a way that makes it feel more like your own writing. Complete overhaul or simple changes, it's up to you. Don't forget to tag @wabisabi

Pretty, shiny words
I'm wallowing a bit in my depression. I can't afford therapy (can anyone, really?) Help a girl out, surround me with beautiful words. No real guidelines, just write something lovely. In topic, in tone, or both—your choice. Please tag me @wabisabi.

I wanna meet the gnarled, twisted bits of you.
I've been dealing with my depression by personifying it (like in "a conversation"). I'm kinda obsessed with the idea of making something more "alive," giving it more power almost, to make it easier to deal with. If you were to give them character or a face or a body, what would your mental illness/troubles/dark emotions be like? How would you interact with them? What would they do on a day-to-day basis? Written however you like, no limitations. Please tag me @wabisabi.

Imitation
You know what they say: imitation is the highest form of flattery. Find a piece by another proser you love and imitate it. In tone or style, doesn't matter. Any type of writing. Please remember to mention the original piece, as well as tag me and the OP. I'm excited to read your work!

Imitation
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, they say! Find something written by a fellow proser that you love and imitate their work. This can be the form, the language, the rhythm. Imitation can be a great way to flex writing muscles you hardly use (or didn't know were there).
Don't forget to tag the original writer and mention the name of the inspiration!
Tag @wabisabi, too please!

I vow...
I'm writing my wedding vows, prosers. But self love comes first, even though it's not always easy. Write vows to yourself. How can you be better? What are things you need to value, foster, etc?
@wabisabi please!

Evocative
"I can bear any pain as long as it has meaning."
-Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
Elicit strong emotion with your writing. Whether it is succinct or a slow build-up, make sure your words are focused and find their mark.
Topic of your choice, any or mixed style.
I'm partial to the underbelly of love.
@wabisabi so I can feel all the feels.

Elongated moments
Choose a moment of small importance, e.g. sitting in the car at a stop light, waiting in line at the store, finishing up bothersome paperwork, and stretch it. Make it interesting, give it weight.
How you do this is your choice. Any style or genre.
@wabisabi if you'd like my comment.
